The Nigeria Cricket Federation lit up the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval on Thursday 16th February 2017 as veterans of the game gathered in Honor of Late Christian Enahoro, who was and still is a cricket Legend in Nigeria.
The President of the Federation Captained the President’s 11 while Mike Emokporo, a former Captain of DYAKS Cricket Club Captained Christian Enahoro 11.
Christian Enahoro 11 won the toss and elected to bat scoring a total of 64 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 10 overs.
In the second innings, the president’s 11 fought hard but fell short of the total scoring 59 runs for the lossof 6 wickets in 10 overs.
Okon Ukpong and Obruthe Ogbimi rolled back the good old days with impressive displays scoring 14 and 21 runs respectively. President of the federation took 1 wicket as part of the bowling effort from the President’s 11.
Refreshment by the NCF was served as activities continued for the day.

Family Members and friends also took turn to pay tribute to our dear colleague and some people struggle to fight back the tears.
The president of the federation Engr. Emeka Onyeama in his remark, thanked the family of Christian Enahoro for taking out time to attend the ceremony and urged them to protect the good legacy of Mr Chris Enahoro . He prayed that God almighty should grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The President of the Federation also used the opportunity to call on every one to support Cricket in Nigeria to ensure sustainability in years to come. He concluded that a platform to honor deserving servants of the game will be established and a hall of Fame for Cricket legends in Nigeria. The President of the Federation a plaque to Mr. Dino Enahoro, son of Christian Enahoro on behalf of the N.C.F . The Plaque was presented as a symbol of honor and respect for our Brother Chris Enahoro
The 17th of February was the lying in state at the Tafawa Balewa Cricket Oval at 8am in the morning followed by Funeral mass at Church of Asumption, Falomo, Ikoyi and interment at Ebony Private Cemetery Ikoyi
